Please wash before entering the bathtub.
First, rinse your body with hot water. Washing beforehand helps to keep the water in the bathtub clean.
The rinsing and washing of your body with hot water will also acclimatize you to the actual temperature of the water in the bath tub. Please refrain from jumping into the water.
A small towel will be provided. You can bring this with you, but please do not put it into the bathtub water. Most people place the towel on their head. And remember, do not use any soap or shampoo (or other skin cleansers) while in bathtub.
To take full advantage of the enriching, lingering effects of the hot-spring water, it is better not to wash your body after leaving the bathtub.
